Gather.town: Poster Session Guide for Participants

1. How to Join

• Click the Gather.Town link for the session.
• You can choose your avatar for the arena.
• Allow camera and/or microphone access so you can talk to the presenters.

2. Moving Around

• Use your arrow keys or WASD keys to walk your avatar.
• Approach posters and people — your video/audio connects automatically.

3. Visiting Posters and Asking Questions

• Walk up to a poster — it will appear larger, or press ‘X’ to interact if prompted.
• You can talk with the presenter naturally. Others nearby will hear too.

4. Other information

• Mini-map: We will have multiple mini-maps of the posters in the main corridor and the individual rooms.
• Participants List: See who’s online (bottom right) and where they are by clicking on their name.
• Chat: Click the chat icon (bottom right) to message people individually or everyone at once.
